The WTB Venture SG2 TCS Road Plus 650B × 47 is one of WTB’s most versatile drop-bar gravel tires, designed to deliver consistent performance across a wide range of terrain and conditions. Although this model has been discontinued, it remains a highly capable option for riders seeking a true set-it-and-forget-it gravel tire while remaining stock lasts.

The tread design features a tightly spaced centerline that rolls smoothly and efficiently on pavement and hardpack, paired with rows of outer knobs that provide dependable cornering traction on loose gravel and dirt. This balanced layout allows the Venture to transition confidently between road, gravel, and mixed-surface riding.

Built in WTB’s Road Plus format, the 650B × 47 size offers a high-volume footprint with an overall diameter comparable to a 700c × 30 tire, making it compatible with many gravel frames while adding comfort, stability, and control. For optimal performance, WTB recommends mounting on rims with 23–25 mm internal width.

This version uses a 120 TPI Light casing combined with SG2 puncture protection, delivering a balance of weight savings and bead-to-bead reliability. Traction and durability are handled by WTB’s Dual DNA rubber compound, featuring a firmer center compound for fast rolling and wear resistance, and softer side knobs for improved grip and cornering control. The tire is built on WTB’s TCS Tubeless Compatible System for secure tubeless setup and lower-pressure performance.
