he Velowave Pony is a compact step-thru electric bike designed around a 20" fat-tire platform with an integrated rear hub motor system. The 6061 aluminum frame uses a low-step design for easier mounting and includes internal routing and a removable battery.
The e-system is built around a Bafang geared rear hub motor rated at 750 W with a 1000 W peak and up to 80 Nm of torque, paired to a 48 V, 15 Ah (720 Wh) battery using LG 21700 cells. Power delivery is managed by a cadence-based speed sensor pedal assist system with a thumb throttle. Maximum assisted speed is 25 mph via pedal assist and 20 mph via throttle.
A hydraulic suspension fork, 20" × 4.0" Kenda fat tires, and aluminum rims support mixed-surface riding. The drivetrain uses a Shimano 7-speed shifter and long-cage rear derailleur with a 52T chainring and 170 mm alloy cranks. Stopping power is provided by front and rear hydraulic disc brakes with 180 mm rotors.
The bike ships equipped with fenders, integrated 48 V LED lighting, a color display, alloy cockpit components, and a side kickstand. Total system weight is approximately 36 kg (79.4 lb), with a rated payload capacity of 150 kg (330 lb).
