Shimano K05S-RX Resin Disc Brake Pads — One Pair with Spring
Shimano K05S-RX pads replace the friction pads inside a compatible disc brake caliper. Each pack contains two pads and a spring, enough for one brake caliper. This version uses resin friction material on stainless backing plates and has no cooling fins.
What the main features mean
The friction material is the part that presses against the rotor when you brake. Shimano's fifth-generation resin compound is designed for controlled braking feel and reduced noise. Modulation means being able to build braking force progressively as you squeeze the lever; it is different from simply having a sharp initial bite.
The narrow K-type pad shape determines which calipers accept the pads. Matching the brake model is more useful than matching the bicycle brand or wheel size. These pads have no radiator fins projecting above the caliper.
