Service / Ownership Context

This axle is matched to SE’s rear dropout spacing and hub shell dimensions from these specific model years. Installing the wrong axle length will cause bearing preload issues or dropout misalignment.

At Go Grava, we verify frame model and year before installing replacement axles to avoid hub damage or wheel alignment problems.

Fit & Use Signals

  • Good Fit: SE So Cal Flyer MY18–20, SE Big Flyer MY18, MY18 SE Blocks Flyer using factory rear hubs.
  • Not A Fit: Other BMX brands, 14mm axles, cassette hubs, thru-axle frames, or newer SE model years.
This is NOT universal BMX hardware. It’s tied directly to SE model years. 165mm overall length + 110mm hub spacing matters — wrong axle wrecks bearing preload. Customers constantly assume all 3/8 axles are the same. They’re not. Must verify frame model and year. If wheel binds after install, axle length is wrong. CrMo axle holds up better than mild steel on cruisers. Usually replacing bent axles from curb drops or chain tension issues. Doesn’t include bearings or cones — those are separate. Always re-center wheel and reset chain tension after install.
