The WTB Vigilante TCS Light High Grip 27.5 × 2.5 is an aggressive trail and enduro tire built for maximum control in loose, wet, and technical terrain. Although this version has been discontinued, it remains a high-performance option for riders seeking uncompromising traction and predictable handling while inventory lasts.

The Vigilante features a square-lugged, open tread pattern that delivers stability and bite in soft or muddy conditions. Stiff, reinforced outer knobs provide strong grip at steep lean angles, making the tire particularly confident when cornering hard on loose soil, roots, and rock.

WTB’s updated siping and refined knob shapes reduce knob squirm while increasing traction on wet or rocky surfaces. A revised tread profile creates a smoother, more predictable transition from center tread to side knobs, improving cornering consistency at speed.

This version uses WTB’s High Grip (HG) compound, pairing a 45a ultra-soft rubber for exceptional surface conformity with a firmer 60a supportive base to maintain stability under aggressive braking and cornering forces. Traction is further enhanced by TriTec (TT) triple compound construction, which optimizes grip, support, and durability across the tread.

Durability comes from the Light casing, which balances reduced rotational weight with trail-ready reliability, along with SG2 puncture protection that provides bead-to-bead defense against cuts and trail debris. The tire is built on WTB’s TCS Tubeless Compatible System, allowing lower pressures for improved grip and ride quality.
