In addition, we are excited to announce that we will be conducting one ride each month specifically for our adapted riders. The Mission of IMABLE
IMABLE was founded with a powerful mission: to demonstrate that life doesn't end with a disability. Chris Haag, the founder of IMABLE, knows this firsthand. At 21, while serving in the US Marine Corps, Chris's life took an unexpected turn when he was diagnosed with adrenomyeloneuropathy (AMN), a degenerative nerve condition. This diagnosis could have been a devastating blow, but Chris chose a different path.
During his nine weeks at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Chris was deeply moved by the sight of young patients hooked up to machines, their families by their sides, filled with uncertainty about the future. This experience inspired him to redefine his purpose. Chris decided to show others that life with a disability requires adaptation, but it can still be full of incredible achievements and joy.
Chris’s dedication to this vision has touched countless lives. Through IMABLE, thousands of grant recipients and program participants have discovered new limits and joys, thanks to the unwavering support from people like you. When we change the life of one individual, it ripples out, affecting entire families—parents, siblings, grandparents—bringing them together in shared activities and providing much-needed respite for caregivers.

Aaron, the founder of Go Grava, is also a Marine Corps veteran, just like Chris. This connection deepens our commitment to the mission of IMABLE, as we understand the resilience and determination it takes to overcome significant challenges.
